The skills supply barometer is used in discussions with politicians at the highest level, as demonstrated by the meeting between Maskinentreprenörerna (ME) and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson in January, where the focus was on skills supply in the construction machinery industry. According to the barometer, which Navet Analytics has produced on behalf of ME, there is currently a shortage of around 700 construction machine operators and 1,500 construction workers in the industry.
As society’s need for personnel continues to increase, the shortage is expected to deepen in the coming years. We are pleased that the report provides Maskinentreprenörerna with an important, fact-based and strategic basis for continuing to work on strengthening the industry’s supply of skilled labour.
